First launched in 1976, the Nautilus was a surprising addition to the Patek Philippe collection, unusually introducing stainless steel to a luxury watch collection and also due to its unconventional octagonal shaped bezel.
As Watches & Wonders 2021 gets underway, Patek Philippe introduces four new references to the iconic Nautilus collection, presenting a new interpretation of casual elegance.
To the famous 5711/1A model, Patek Philippe introduces a brand-new olive-green dial, which is expected to delight lovers of a cult watch, that has long been an icon of sporting elegance. The 40mm stainless steel case is instantly recognisable, with a bezel and bracelet that is enhanced by a subtle alternation between satin and polished finishing.
Water resistant to 120m, the new Nautilus Ref. 5711/1A-014 is powered by Patek Philippe’s self-winding mechanical movement, caliber 26‑330 S C, boasting a power reserve of 45 hours.
The striking new horizontally embossed olive-green dial also makes an appearance on the 5711-1300A, framed by a bezel set with 32 internally flawless Top Wesselton baguette-cut diamonds. Weighing 3.60cts, the fire of the diamonds highlights the dial’s sunburst decoration.
Powered by the same self-winding mechanical movement as the 5711/1A-014, the new Nautilus Ref. 5711-1300A-001 holds power for up to 45 hours. A screw-down crown provides this new timepiece with a water resistance of 120m.
Patek Philippe’s remarkable watchmaking expertise is evidenced in today’s introduction of the Nautilus Travel Time Chronograph in a new rose gold version, Ref. 5990/1R-001. As well as standing out for its beauty, this new model combines three highly sought-after Patek Philippe complications.
A self-winding flyback chronograph, easy-to-use Travel Time function (dual time-zone) and a date display, coupled with local time all feature within this new reference. Through a sapphire crystal caseback, the beating heart of this 40.5mm timepiece is visible, the self-winding mechanical movement, caliber CH 28‑520 C FUS.
For 2021, the Patek Philippe Nautilus Haute Joaillerie appears in a new rose gold version, paved entirely with diamonds across the case, bezel and bracelet. In the small, raised wave pattern of the dial- a characteristic typical of the ladies’ Nautilus collection- rows of round brilliant cut diamonds are set.
Housed within a 35.2mm rose gold case, the self-winding mechanical movement caliber 324 S is visible through a sapphire crystal caseback, boasting a power reserve of 45 hours.
