SIHH 2019: Panerai

For many years, Panerai watches have been used exclusively by the Italian Navy. SIHH 2019 saw the brand release exciting new product concepts that remain faithful to the brand DNA.

With its iconic flagship boutique in the magical city of Florence, Panerai has consistently remained one of the most talked about watch manufacturers in the world. The new releases introduced to DMR on our recent visit to SIHH left us excited to introduce our clients to the collection, back home!

We asked the team for their top two picks from Panerai in Geneva, this year.

Panerai starts the year off strong as it launches a new partnership with Luna Rossa, the Challenger of Record team for the 36^th edition of the America’s Cup. To celebrate this partnership, Panerai launches a new collection, the Submersible Luna Rossa, ref PAM01039.

The new timepieces will play an integral role in the event, worn on the wrists of the Luna Rossa Sailing Team members, with the first stage of the America’s Cup World Series kicks off in 2019 in Sardinia.

Another exciting timepiece released at SIHH this year is inspired by French freediving champion Guillaume Nery, the Submersible Chrono Guillaume Néry Edition. This striking 47mm watch (ref. PAM00982) is noted for its blue accents. Water resistant to 300 meters with a unidirectional rotating bezel and luminous white markers, it is designed with professional divers in mind.
