The Rolex GMT-Master II is introduced this year in two new versions – yellow Rolesor and 18 ct yellow gold – with a Cerachrom bezel insert in grey and black ceramic, an entirely new colour combination.
Both share common features. Firstly, a two- colour, 24-hour graduated monobloc Cerachrom bezel insert in grey and black ceramic. On the dial, the name ‘GMT-Master II’ is in a powdered yellow colour. Rolex played a pioneering role in the development of special ceramics for creating monobloc bezels and bezel inserts. Not only are these materials virtually scratchproof, but their colours are also of a rare intensity and are resistant to environmental effects.
Rolex brings in a new dial decoration for its Oyster Perpetual range, a family recognised for its pure lines and universal elegance. Alive with colour, vitality and positivity, the new lacquered dial of the Oyster Perpetual in 31mm, 36mm and 41mm is dotted with many-coloured bubbles that joyfully reunite the five hues introduced to the range in 2020.
Named ‘Celebration’, this brand-new motif is available for the Oyster Perpetual 31, Oyster Perpetual 36 and Oyster Perpetual 41.
The Oyster Perpetual 31 is equipped with calibre 2232, while the Oyster Perpetual 36 and Oyster Perpetual 41 are both fitted with calibre 3230. These two movements are at the forefront of watchmaking technology and provide essential functions – hours, minutes and seconds.
Watches in the Oyster Perpetual range are direct descendants of the original Oyster, the world’s first waterproof wristwatch, on which Rolex has built its reputation since 1926. Timeless in their essence, they are continually reinterpreted and have gradually been endowed with the brand’s successive technical innovations. The varied and constantly evolving colours and design of the dials ensure the Oyster Perpetual never loses its fresh and contemporary appeal.
The new Rolex Day-Date 36 introduces dials made of decorative stones in shimmering tones, evoking the atmosphere of the Mediterranean coast. Three new versions of the Day-Date 36 are introduced with radiant dials.
The first, made of 18ct Everose gold, is presented with a dial in green aventurine, a stone with a finely crystallised surface. The second is crafted from 18ct yellow gold and its dial is cut from carnelian, an orangey-colour stone typified by lines of varying shapes and sizes forming an artful cameo of patterns. The third, an 18ct white gold variation, features a turquoise dial textured with natural veining.
All three are endowed with a bezel set with 52 brilliant-cut diamonds and fitted on a President bracelet. Created especially for the launch of the prestigious Day-Date in 1956, this three-piece link bracelet, made only from 18ct gold or 950 platinum, is still reserved exclusively for the Day-Date and precious metal versions of the Datejust.
