Discover the TUDOR Black Bay Chrono “Blue”: A Boutique Exclusive

Introducing the TUDOR Black Bay Chrono “Blue”, a daring design now available exclusively in our TUDOR Boutique, Manchester with a “TUDOR Blue” dial that adds a distinct character. This new Black Bay Chrono model combines this tradition in a sports chronograph for purists, with contrasting sub-counters and a high-performance automatic Manufacture Calibre, with column wheel and vertical clutch.

Since the release of its first chronograph, the Oysterdate model in 1970, TUDOR has manufactured timepieces with a strong connection to the world of motor sport, as well as constantly improving their professional divers’ timepieces since 1954.

These traditions are combined in the Black Bay Chrono model, a sports chronograph for enthusiasts with contrasting sub-counters and a high-performance automatic Manufacture Calibre with vertical clutch and column wheel.

TUDOR Black Bay Chrono

This boutique exclusive model draws inspiration from TUDOR’s rich history of incorporating blue dials into all of the lines of the collection. Over the years, TUDOR has introduced several blue hues in a number of designs, consistently retaining multiple blue iterations in its ensuing catalogues. This gave rise to the idea of “TUDOR Blue,” which emphasises the colour’s enduring presence in TUDOR’s distinctive aesthetics rather than making reference to a particular colour reference.

Of particular interest are the two model ranges that inspired the Black Bay Chrono “Blue” — dive watches, like the famed blue “Snowflake” TUDOR Submariner, and chronographs, with the collector-favourite blue “Montecarlo” Oysterdate Chronograph, both models emblematic of seventies TUDOR production.

The recognisable characteristics of the TUDOR Black Bay – satin-brushed and polished finishes, bevelled lugs and TUDOR rose-signed crown – are preserved in this version with a steel case and a 41-millimetre diameter. The design of the stainless steel pushers are inspired by the very first generation of TUDOR chronographs. A fixed bezel in stainless steel complete with a tachymetric scale insert in blue anodised aluminium completes the look and function of these sporty chronographs.

The TUDOR Black Bay Chrono “Blue” is now available exclusively in our TUDOR boutique located at 2 St. Ann’s House, St. Ann’s Place, Manchester. Book an appointment with our helpful experts who stand ready to guide you through your TUDOR journey.
