Celebrating our long-standing relationship with one of the finest manufacturers of Swiss timepieces in the world, DMR was fortunate enough to be one of the first retailers in the UK to showcase an exclusive preview of Rolex timepieces, first viewed at Baselworld.
After a short stop at our showroom in Manchester City Centre, it was time for an exclusive selection of timepieces to make their way over to our flagship Liverpool One showroom, and in typical DMR fashion, we did it in style!
In the grandeur of Liverpool’s 18ct century Town Hall building, our clients were taken on a journey through the ages, as they prepared to get their first look at Rolex’s latest releases for 2017. Following a champagne reception atop the building’s stunning grand staircase, clients were introduced to the first ballroom.
As the door’s swung open, our friends were greeted by a host of vintage timepieces, from the private collection of Mike Wood. Viewing some of the most sought after, valuable Rolex references in the world, guests were entertained to the sounds of a pianist performing well known hits from the 1960s- the decade in which the Seadweller was first introduced.

With canapés prepared and served by our friends at Liverpool’s Restaurant Bar & Grill, guests were finally ushered into the last, yet most exciting room- the grand ballroom! It was here that 45 timepieces, all of which were first viewed by DMR on our trip to Basel, were showcased. As a string quartet played an array of contemporary classics from one of the ballroom’s balconies, our friends now had the opportunity to try these references for themselves, with the guidance of DMR’s expert teams.
