IWC Schaffhausen introduces a series of new additions to the Ingenieur and Pilot’s Watch collections at Watches and Wonders 2025 in Geneva.
Since 1955, the striking design of the Ingenieur has combined rugged sportiness with an undeniably technical appeal. This trend continues to this day with exciting new additions to the collection.
Celebrating their partnership with Apple Original Film’s “F1® THE MOVIE”, which is set to release worldwide this summer, IWC have also introduced three new Pilot’s Watch chronographs. All feature a design with colour codes and details inspired by the team colours and race cars of “APXGP”, the fictional F1™ team at the heart of the movie.
The new IWC Ingenieur Automatic 40 (Ref. IW328702) is crafted entirely from 18 carat 5N gold offering perfect ergonomics and wearability. It is distinguished by its case and integrated bracelet and features a highly detailed finishing with a combination of satin-finished and polished surfaces.
The Ingenieur Perpetual Calendar 41 (Ref. IW344903) presents the first stainless steel IWC Schaffhausen model to combine the emblematic Ingenieur design, inspired by Gérald Genta, with Kurt Klaus’ crown-operated perpetual calendar.
The proportions of each case component have been reworked and adapted to accommodate the perpetual calendar movement. On the blue dial with its characteristic “Grid” pattern, three subdials display the date, day of the week, month and perpetual moon phase.
Also introduced in Geneva, the Ingenieur Automatic 42 (Ref. IW338903) in black ceramic combines the Gérald Genta-derived integrated bracelet design with a full ceramic execution for the first time. This timepiece features an innovative multi-part ceramic case construction, distinguished by a high level of detail with a combination of satin-finishing, sandblasting and polishing.
The new Ingenieur Automatic 35 is available in three versions, one with an 18-carat 5N gold case and bracelet, completed with a gold-coloured dial (Ref. IW324903). The stainless steel additions to the Ingenieur 35 range are expertly crafted with a silver-plated dial (Ref. IW324901), and a sleek black dial (Ref. IW324906).
Completing the new Ingenieur line-up is the Ingenieur Automatic 40 (Ref. IW328908). Limited to 1000 pieces, it takes inspiration from the watch worn by the main character Sonny Hayes in Apple Original Film’s upcoming “F1® THE MOVIE”. Portrayed by actor Brad Pitt, the veteran racing driver sports a customised version of the Ingenieur SL Reference 1832, with a dial in his signature green colour.
The Pilot’s Watch Performance Chronograph 41 (Ref. IW388309) boasts an 18-carat 5N gold case with a black lacquered dial and a black ceramic tachymeter bezel. It can be seen on the wrist of Damson Idris’ character Joshua Pearce in “F1® THE MOVIE”.
The Pilot’s Watch Chronograph APXGP (Ref. IW378009) features a stainless-steel case with a diameter of 43 millimetres, while the Pilot’s Watch Chronograph 41 APXGP (Ref. IW388116) is crafted in a 41-millimetre stainless steel case. Both chronographs are dedicated to the “APXGP” team in the movie and feature a design with black, gold and white elements.
