As we mark the first day of Watches and Wonders 2022, our friends at TAG Heuer have unveiled exciting new references that hold true to their bold, adventurous reputation and the spirit of the brand.
Introducing the new TAG Heuer Aquaracer Professional 300 Orange Diver and the TAG Heuer Monaco Gulf Special Edition.
First up from TAG Heuer, the brand expands its Aquaracer Professional 300 core collection with the addition of the Orange Diver, a new watch with a vibrant new look that is inspired by the orange diver reference 844, a favourite amongst watch collectors. This latest release is a luxury tool watch that will bring out the adventurous side of every watch enthusiast.
Orange has always been an important colour for those close to the water, so it is not surprising that it would be a strong source of inspiration when TAG Heuer looked to expand their dive range. A symbol of safety and security at sea, the strong tone used in the orange dial on this latest addition is prevalent due to its remarkable contrast against the blue of the ocean. Orange is also one of the universal colour pantones for speed, security and records, used on racing tracks and on NASA spacesuits.
Presented in a fine brushed and polished 43mm stainless steel case, this new piece follows the same design codes as the Aquaracer Professional 300 range, released in 2021.
Legibility is one of the main features of the collection and remains so with this new addition with the indexes and hands coated with white Super-LumiNova® to contrast with the colour of the dial. This new reference also integrates the Aquaracer Professional 300’s sophisticated fine adjustment system on the strap that can extend or reduce the bracelet length by up to 1.5 cm, enabling the wearer to resize the bracelet so that the watch can be worn on any occasion and under a variety of climatic conditions.
The new TAG Heuer Aquaracer Orange Diver is powered by the brand’s Calibre 5, a reliable Swiss Made automatic movement with 38 hours power reserve and quick-set date.
One of the most awaited TAG Heuer watches is back with a new refined version. Introducing the TAG Heuer Monaco Gulf Special Edition. The latest addition to the iconic TAG Heuer Monaco family is made with their partner, Gulf. The co-creation bears the brand’s legendary colours and design of the Gulf brand and is equipped with the in-house movement Heuer 02 – a premiere for the Monaco Gulf edition. Eagerly awaited by watch collectors, the new TAG Heuer Monaco Gulf is a Special Edition timepiece.
Focusing on the watch’s dial, the sleek Gulf touches are mixed with the refined aesthetic of the TAG Heuer Monaco. The Gulf accents have also been featured in an elegant way and, for the first time, the three colours are present on the minute sub-counters at 3 o’clock too. Also a premiere in the Monaco Gulf watch editions, the Gulf logo on the dial is totally white.
On the back of the TAG Heuer Monaco Gulf Special Edition, the brand’s designers worked on a personalised version of the oscillating mass and column wheel with a special engraving coloured to match the distinctive Gulf orange pantone.
To complete the sporty yet sophisticated look, the watch is worn on a strap made of perforated blue calfskin leather with an orange lining. Although the strap has the typical perforation made especially for the Monaco Gulf editions, the holes now have different sizes, a reflection of the design originally fitted to Monaco models in the 1970s, bringing a touch of the past to this new Special Edition timepiece.
