Motivated by their #BornToDare mentality, Baselworld 2019 sees a host of exciting new additions to TUDOR’s collection.
In 2019, TUDOR continues to explore bronze and the characteristic patina of this material. Baselworld 2019 sees an exciting update to the iconic TUDOR Black Bay Bronze model, a symbol of the brand’s naval heritage, introducing a new slate-grey model with shaded dial. Worn on a black nubuck leather strap or slate-grey fabric strap, the new additions are powered by the manufacture calibre MT5601, COSC certified movement, boasting a power reserve of approximately 70 hours.
This year also sees TUDOR introduce the Black Bay P01, a contemporary sports watch. Based on a legendary prototype developed in the late 1960s and proposed to the US Navy, this new model is worn on a hybrid leather and rubber strap. A steel screw down winding crown is distinctively visible at the 4 o’clock position on the piece. At the heart of this 42mm timepiece is TUDOR’s Manufacture Calibre MT5612 self-winding mechanical movement, boasting a power reserve of approximately 70 hours.
Tudor also introduces the TUDOR Black Bay Chrono in an S&G version, an update of the Black Bay Chrono winner of the “Petite Aiguille” prize at the 2017 Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève. This latest addition combines the aquatic and motorsport heritage of the brand in a precious sporty-chic timepiece with vintage feel. Available on a steel and yellow gold bracelet, fabric strap or brown leather strap with removable bund, a striking black dial is marked by champagne coloured counters. A yellow gold screw-down winding crown ensures the watches impressive waterproofness of 200 metres.
Another exciting addition for 2019, TUDOR introduces S&G versions to the versatile and even more elegant than ever, Black Bay 41, 36 and 32 models. A new five-link yellow gold and steel bracelet is introduced exclusively to these models. Available in black and champagne dial combinations, this range of timepieces is powered by the Calibre 2824 self-winding mechanical movement, which boasts a power reserve of approximately 36 hours.
