Baselworld 2016 Live: Speedmaster Grey Side of The Moon
Along with their new additions to the Planet Ocean Seamaster range, OMEGA have revealed a new Speedmaster model at this year’s Baselworld.

Speedmaster Grey Side of The Moon

The Speedmaster Grey Side of The Moon “Meteorite” is a truly stunning example of OMEGA’s commitment to producing timepieces that are breathtaking.

Each Speedmaster contains an actual piece of space meteorite, specifically the Gibeon meteorite that fell in Namibia in prehistoric times, thanks to this, every single watch has a unique dial pattern. The watch has a very vivid “Space” aura about it, with the ceramic and leather strap coming in a delightful grey colour that matches the meteorite dial.

The 18ct Sedna Gold included on the tachymetre bezel is not only a first for OMEGA, but it provides a brilliant accent to the watch, with the indicators and counters also benefiting from the inclusion.

Powered by OMEGA’s Co-Axial calibre 9300 movement, the watch sits at 44.25mm, a perfect size for a watch of this standard. The original Grey Side of the Moon OMEGA watch is revered for its outstanding design and the new model for 2016 certainly carries on that trend and is a perfect addition to the already rich history and heritage of OMEGA.
