Here at DMR we are extremely proud to announce that we are now official stockists and suppliers of the TAG Heuer Connected Smartwatch.
Described as being bold, innovative and avant-garde, the TAG Heuer Connected is truly a watch to behold. The watch will be available in-store at our Chester showroom only, but will also be available on our online store. Dates of availability for both will be announced soon.
First and foremost, the piece is inspired by one of TAG’s most recognisable and successful collections: The TAG Heuer Carrera. At 46mm in diameter, manufactured using grade 2 titanium and water resistant, the smartwatch stays true to TAG Heuer’s innovative style and retains the qualities of being a fine wristwatch. The watch features the classic TAG Carrera sandblasted black tachymetre bezel, and is available with a large choice of straps and bracelets, ranging from black, white, red, blue, green and yellow rubber straps, a light brown calfskin strap with a black rubber lining and more recently a titanium bracelet.
About The Watch
The TAG Connected watch has been developed in collaboration with Google and Intel to provide one of the most sophisticated and intelligent smartwatches on the market. The applications available with the watch include: a Motor Racing app in partnership with RaceChrono, a fitness app in partnership with Google Fit, a lifestyle app in collaboration with MyInsiders, and many more official partnerships are due to be announced and added – all offered with free subscriptions. Directional wind and weather monitoring comes as standard, and of course there are thousands of apps you can tailor to your own tastes with the Android Wear system.
The watch features an Intel® Atom™ processor Z34XX and runs the Android Wear operating system. Connectivity includes audio streaming, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. It holds 4GB of memory (1GB internal, 3GB external) and has a minimum 25 hours battery life when fully charged thanks to the latest-generation lithium battery (approx. 1hr 50 minutes charging from a completely depleted battery) which is charged using a contact charger – simply place your watch on top of the base to begin charging.
The TAG Connected can easily be synced with any phone running on either Android 4.3+ or iOS 8.2+ and will continue to function even if your phone is not present, with the time, display, alarm and step counter continuing to function even when no connection is present at all.
As well as a whole host of smart features ranging from interactive counters, micro-apps approved by Google, a microphone to support Google search and Google Maps, Fit, Translate and Google Search, the watch is equipped with a choice of three digital watch faces, all of which feature the recognisable traits of TAG Heuer – hands, index, counters, date window and minute track.
The price of the TAG Heuer Connected is fixed at £1,100 and comes with a two year warranty as is standard with all TAG Heuer watches. As well as this, TAG announced that after the end of every warranty on every Connected watch, purchasers will be able to upgrade to a special edition TAG Heuer Carrera watch – for an extra £1,100 – that will only be available to owners of the TAG Heuer Connected.
